What is the single article limit for my contents?
Its sometimes hard to keep track of the replacement value of your contents, that’s why at My Holiday Home Insurance we don’t have a Single Article Limit for your general contents. That way you can have peace of mind that should something happen, your possessions would be covered.
Do I need to provide photos of my touring caravan?
Yes if it is 20 years or older.
What does new for old cover mean?
“New for Old” Cover is a piece of insurance terminology. What this means for you is that, in the event of a claim, we will replace your touring caravan and contents with a brand new equivalent.
What does market value mean?
“Market Value” is a level of cover that is offered to you. What it means for you is that in the event of a claim, you will get a cheque for the current value of the touring caravan at the time of the loss.
How much public liability am I covered for?
Our public liability is covered up to £2Million.
Can I get cover for my contents in a storage unit?
We can cover contents in a locked adjacent storage unit up to £300.
Can I increase my excess to get a cheaper premium?
Yes! You can increase your excess from £75 to either £150 or £50.
Am I able to reduce my excess?
Yes! You can reduce your excess down to just £50.
Can I take my caravan abroad?
Yes! We provide up to 180 days continental touring use as standard.
What if my caravan is a little older?
We have no maximum age limit on our scheme so we can provide a quote even if your caravan is a little older.
Can I cover my awning?
We provide cover up to £2,500 for awnings*.
*7 years or younger
What if I keep my caravan on a permanent site?
We provide discounts for any tourer that is permanently sited and not towed on the road.
Can I include things like motor movers on my insurance?
Yes – we can cover up to £5,000 for any equipment relating to your tourer.
