What is the maximum building sum insured?
£150,000 for homes under 10 years and £120,000 for homes that are 11+, however as we try and tailor the policy to your individual needs, we can look at each policy on an individual basis and provide the cover that you need.
What is the minimum building sum insured?
We don’t have a set minimum, however when looking at your sums insured its important not only to factor in the value of your home, but also any clearance and re-siting you may be liable for.
How much buildings cover will I get on my static caravan?
That will depend on the cover levels that you choose. Why not call one of our advisors today that can discuss our different cover levels with you and help you pick the cover that’s right for you.
What is the single article limit for my contents?
Its sometimes hard to keep track of the replacement value of your contents, that’s why at My Holiday Home Insurance we don’t have a Single Article Limit for your general contents. That way you can have peace of mind that should something happen, your possessions would be covered.
What are the excess amounts on static caravan insurance?
We have a £100 excess on our policy for all standard claims, however voluntary excesses are available as well which allow you to individually tailor your policy and possibly benefit from a lower premium
Do I need to provide photos of my static caravan?
On rare occasions we may need to see a photograph of your holiday lodge, to ensure we are providing you with the right levels of cover. If you are unsure if you will need to do this, call one of our advisors today who will be happy to discuss this with you.
What does new for old cover mean?
“New for Old” Cover is a piece of insurance terminology. What this means for you is that, in the event of a claim, we will replace your home and contents with a brand new equivalent.
What does market value mean?
“Market Value” is a level of cover that is offered to you. What it means for you is that in the event of a claim, you will get a cheque for the current value of the home at the time of the loss.
How much cover can I get for my sports equipment?
Sports Equipment can be covered anywhere from £1,000 to £3,000 for items of equipment that are permanently left at the holiday lodge
Can I add pedal cycles to my policy?
Yes! We are able to add your pedal cycles to your policy to give you the peace of mind that they are fully covered.
How much public liability am I covered for?
Our public liability is covered up to £5Million as standard. This is generally more than enough for your Site regulations but if you are unsure, give us a call and one of our advisors will be happy to help.
Is accidental damage covered under my static caravan insurance policy?
Accidental damage is one of the most common claim types, so for your peace of mind, accidental damage is covered as standard under your policy. You also have the option to cover it when the property is let.
If I lose my keys am I covered?
It happens to the best of us, so should you find yourself in the position that you have lost your keys, you can rest easy knowing that we cover your replacement locks and keys.
Can I cover my garden furniture?
Nobody wants to pack away garden furniture at the end of a long relaxing day, that’s why with My Holiday Home Insurance we cover not only your garden furniture, but your contents in the open as standard.
I have a hot tub, can this be covered under my policy?
Hot tubs are becoming more common, and as such we have the facility to make sure they are covered under your insurance. Give one of our advisors a call who will take some details and get you covered.
How much contents cover will I get on my static caravan?
Everybody’s contents requirement is different, therefore we won’t pigeon hole you into having a set figure. All of our advisors can talk you through what you may want to include and help you pick the figure that’s right for you.
Can I pay for my static caravan insurance by card? Is there a charge?
Yes you can pay by card. We do not charge you extra to use your cards to pay for your static caravan insurance policy and we accept most major credit and debit cards.
Can I pay by cheque for my static caravan insurance policy?
Yes you can. Many of our clients still prefer to pay by cheque. Please simply complete your cheque for the correct amount, making it payable to My Holiday Home Insurance. Please write your My Holiday Home Insurance client reference number on the back of the cheque (which can be found on the documentation we sent to you) and post it to:
